Gent's pocket watch case
This is a very nicely hand-carved fruit wood gentleman's pocket watch case from the Black Forest region, probably dating to early 1900. It has ivy leaves and berries on the lid with a decorative banded pattern. The sides are ridged in the typical style of the era.
Internally, it has the original felt lining.
It opens on a wooden hinge which has been sensitively reinforced with small metal supports.
A beautiful and light display case with signs of wear commensurate with age.
